Lawrence graduated Cum Laude from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka and holds a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Ibadan. He has over 15 years' experience in TMT Transactions, Data Protection, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property Law, and Commercial and Corporate Advisory.
Lawrence heads the telecommunications practice. He is the point person for local and foreign investors looking to enter the Nigerian Telecommunications industry. He has advised on a wide range of TMT transactions, complex commercial agreements, M&A and commercial contracting, intellectual property and data privacy in the telecoms sector. He has also managed corporate governance structures and practices, infrastructure projects, including environmental regulations and compliance. He spearheads the structuring of financing arrangements, corporate tax advisory, privacy and data protection compliance, and capital market services.
Lawrence has acted as Secretary/Legal Adviser to companies, represented clients at various regulatory interfaces, conducted legal due diligence and prepared LDD reports. He has a Practitioner’s certificate in data protection and has been trained in the arbitration of international disputes. Lawrence is a trained Capital Market Operator, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, an Associate of Capital Market Solicitors Association. He is a Partner at the Firm. and oversees the Data Protection, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, Telecommunications and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.
